Privacy Policy

The short version
Your family's information stays on your phone. We never see your child's name. The moments you write are never uploaded to our servers. When you ask for AI help, we send only anonymized text — names replaced — to the AI, then delete it. No analytics. No ads. Ever.
What we store and where
Everything you create in the app — child profiles (name, age, pronouns, parenting style), saved moments, and your parenting responses — is stored on your device. None of it is uploaded to us.
We have no server-side database of your family. If you uninstall the app, your data is gone.
What leaves your phone when you ask for help
When you submit a question in Ask Now, Circle Back, or Quick Question, the text you wrote is sent to Anthropic's AI API through our proxy. Before it leaves your device, your child's name is replaced with the placeholder [CHILD]. We never send the real name.
Anthropic processes this anonymized text to generate a response, then discards it. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle API data. We do not store the text on our proxy — it passes through. We log no metadata, no IP addresses, and no usage statistics. Our proxy exists only to keep the AI API key off your device.
What never leaves your phone
The on-device safety check — which scans your text for crisis signals — runs entirely on your device. Its analysis is never transmitted anywhere.
If the safety check identifies your input as a crisis, the text is cleared immediately. It is never saved, never transmitted to the AI, and never logged — not even anonymized.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We never see or store your payment method or billing information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.
Children's privacy
This app is designed for parents and caregivers — adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Child profiles contain a first name, age, pronouns, and style preference, stored only on your device and never uploaded to us. When used in AI requests, the name is replaced before transmission.
Analytics and advertising
None. We include no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party tracking of any kind. This is a product promise, not just a policy.
Deleting your data
You can delete all locally stored data at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete all my data. This is immediate and irreversible. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data. We have no server-side copy to delete, because we never received one.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we'll notify you within the app before the changes take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated policy.
